Keeping on schedule today was a challenge since I was traveling from Newark to LAX. I started off the day well with a kale, apple and celery juice that was quite possibly the most perfect juice I've ever tasted - or maybe it was just my body seriously desperate for some serious greens after 3 weeks of fried potatoes and gluten-free beer.
At lunch, I had a salad with chicken and avocado, which is not an ideal combination when following food-combining rules - proteins and fats should be eaten at least 4 hours apart to avoid creating gas in the gut. However, it was a better option than fried potatoes and gluten-free beer, so good job me.
Dinner was not as great. I was on Virgin America, and I got upgraded to Main Cabin Select, which means all the food is free. I don't know about you, but I get a little stressed out on planes so eating food is a natural distraction. It wasn't HORRIBLE, but I did have some veggie chips and cheese. The good part was that I took all my supplements today, and so my digestive enzymes very much came in handy.
Went to bed at 10:30pm due to serious jetlag, so another goal - sleep before midnight - was accomplished. Being a regular midnight-oil-burner, I'm not entirely how sure how long this trend will last, but I'll soak it up while I can.
